Congratulations to two of our UC Davis clients who recently won CASE Circle of Excellence Awards for recent projects created by Page Design!
CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) is a professional association serving educational institutions and those who work on their behalf. Their Circle of Excellence Awards program allows participants to gain recognition, increase quality standards, build the profession, and strengthen on-campus credibility. While these awards go to our clients, we are honored to have been able to bring their ideas to fruition.
Online Magazine Winner
UC Davis Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing Power in Partnership online magazine, designed and coded by Brett Thurman, used elements from the print version designed and produced by Page designers Melisa Weil, Tracy Titus, Kurt Kland, and Sherril Cortez. Brett made the magazine come to life on the screen by adding interactive elements, like a timeline that engages the user while highlighting the school’s achievements. Beyond the stories and images in the print version, the online magazine includes videos and interviews with those who played a vital role in the advancement of the UC Davis Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. With a flexible layout that can accommodate a variety of content, this online magazine can be updated annually to suit the client’s needs as they evolve.
Institutional Relations Publications Winner
A Decade of Innovation, designed by Melisa Weil and produced by Sherril Cortez, serves as a way to look back at the last 10 years, since the founding of the UC Davis Mike and Renee Child Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The publication highlights milestones, thanks donors, and emphasizes the variety of ways in which the institution fosters and advances innovation. Melisa’s biggest challenge was to include an abundance of information in a relatively limited space. Her solution included the use of a flexible grid layout, a strong typographical hierarchy, and a custom icon. This icon represents the connectivity between different groups through the institute’s programs. Each section refers to this icon by lighting up the activated nodes that are involved in each program. Her creative solutions resulted in a beautiful publication that will help promote the institute and drive innovation.
With our team of collaborative, creative designers and coders, Page has the tools and capabilities to take on anything that comes our way. We love to help our clients shine.
