Transforming their local reputation into a strong brand story

River Valley Community Bank (RVCB) is a Northern California community bank with branches in Yuba City, Marysville, Grass Valley, Auburn, and Roseville. Since 2006, they’ve built a loyal following without any formal marketing, relying on strong customer service and word-of-mouth. With ambitious growth goals and a new branch opening in Roseville, they wanted to tell their story in a way that would unify their team and attract new customers.

The Challenge

RVCB had grown steadily for nearly two decades but lacked consistent messaging. Their success was built on deep community roots, but they struggled to communicate what made them different from big banks. To reach their growth goals, they knew they needed a clear, compelling story to inspire internal alignment and fuel their marketing efforts.

We distilled RVCB’s unique strengths into a simple, memorable promise: Business banking made personal.

New Website

The first public phase of the new brand launched with a redesigned website that combined updated messaging, cleaner design, and improved functionality. The site makes it easy for prospective customers to understand who RVCB is, what they stand for, and why they’re the right choice for business banking. It also serves as a flexible platform the bank can continue building on as they grow.

Brand Messaging Guide

This brand statement makes it clear why RVCB stands apart from big banks: they are agile, relationship-driven, and committed to local businesses’ success. Through a customized messaging and content strategy guide, we empowered their team with a unifying story they could confidently share with customers, partners, and investors.

LinkedIn Campaigns

We launched organic and paid ad campaigns to promote their new brand and build awareness for the bank with small business owners in their region. The campaigns feature testimonial videos and clips of their staff so potential customers can get to know bank staff before they enter a branch.

Page Design has been an excellent partner for our recent website rebuild. The transition to Webflow has been a significant improvement for our team. The platform is intuitive and allows us to easily create pages and make updates internally.
